Hair & Makeup Artist
Growing up the daughter of a beautician, makeup artistry seemed to come naturally to Sophia. At age 6, Sophia received from her mom her very first complete make-up kit. She remembers being in awe of the gorgeous colors and textures. Sophia’s mom sat her down and taught her how to apply eyeliner – and in an instant, her passion was discovered!
Sophia met her husband, Joe, in 2009. It just so happened that Joe is a wedding photographer! While planning her dream wedding, Sophia fell in love with bridal makeup. Desiring to provide her brides with only the best professional services, she completed extensive makeup training at the London Eyes Institute in Oakbrook. Following that training, she obtained a Master’s Certificate in airbrush applicators and began a mentorship with one of the best artists in the business.
Passionate about perfecting everything she does, Sophia desired to expand her professional services, and enrolled at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture to master the art of cosmetology by adding bridal hairstyling to her resume. As a Licensed Cosmetologist, Sophia is able to provide complete bridal services for a fully customizable wedding day look.
Sophia knows firsthand how special this moment in life is. Because of that, she treats each bride with the utmost importance. When booking your wedding with Sophia Bella Bridal, you can expect your beauty services to be perfectly executed, flawless and memorable!

Lexi was classically trained in hair at the prestigious Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, one of the most highly regarded programs of its kind. And it seems fitting that she would excel before, during and after her training: she grew up in family of hairdressers – her mom, Karey, two aunts and grandfather passed on to her their passion for helping others feel their best through the art of hair. Lexi credits her mom with teaching her everything she knows about the industry. Today, Lexi and Karey are blessed to share their love for bridal hair as a team, with her mom often accompanying her as a trusted assistant.
During her formal training, Lexi became known as the go-to stylist for updos. She quickly realized she loved not only creating a unique look for each bride but also loved witnessing the pure excitement on the bride’s face upon seeing the final result. It is for this reason that she sought out a career in bridal hair.
She loves the creativity this profession allows and the endless options it provides. Lexi funnels this passion into each bride that sits in her chair, ensuring that her clients shine on the biggest and most magical day of their lives.
When not working her hair magic, Lexi enjoys spending time with her loved ones (including boyfriend John and dog Pepperoni) and actively partaking in sports. You may even spot her playing softball for two local leagues, where you can bet she’s the one with the best hair on the field. And she can do the same for you!
The art of makeup has always come naturally to April. But it wasn’t until she took a break from corporate America to be a stay-at-home mom that she let her makeup creativity shine. It was at this juncture that she took a keen interest to makeup and skincare – realizing the happiness and joy she felt when applying makeup on the faces of others. Her talent was evident, and she was soon asked to work alongside many Chicagoland makeup artists as a wedding day artist.
April is primarily self-taught and used her background of management/marketing to immerse herself in books/videos/tutorials of celebrity makeup artists. It was her self-motivation and drive for excellence that helped hone her techniques, as well as mentorship from a Chicago-area makeup guru. Additionally, April actively attends educational workshops and seminars to further fine-tune her skillset, which will soon include permanent makeup application.
April is passionate about helping brides look like the very best version of themselves on their special day. “Some woman are afraid of looking unrecognizable on their wedding day,” she explains, adding, “I love seeing the look on their faces when they look in the mirror!” The key to this, April believes, is good communication so that her clients not only trust the process but also love the final result.
Outside of makeup, April enjoys traveling with her husband and two sons; trying new restaurants; enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine; reading; and rooting on the Chicago Cubs. She’s a big believer in chasing your dreams – and she can’t wait to be a part of your wedding day dream team.
Molly loves the creativity of hair design. Since graduating from Mario Tricoci University in 2009, she has been bringing happiness to the faces of clients through beautiful hair.
“When I was younger, I would sit in my room for hours experimenting with different hairstyles, and even taught myself to French braid,” she says. Today, she channels that creativity and experimentation on her clients, where she is passionate about ensuring her clients love their wedding day hair. “I love to make people happy; it brings me so much joy,” Molly shares.
Molly is passionate about bridal hair and enjoys being part of the ever-changing cosmetology world. The abundance of new trends and new ideas serve as motivation for growth and innovation in her craft.

Tara has loved makeup for as long as she can remember. She remembers playing with her mother’s makeup collection as a child, becoming lost in the beauty of it all. It wasn’t until Tara had her own daughter that she realized she should follow her passion and make it her career.
This led to training as an esthetician at Mario Tricoci University, and after graduating she went right into special events/bridal makeup. “It has been a dream come true to watch the bridal beauty industry grow,” Tara says. “I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to take part in it.”
Bridal makeup has always been Tara’s favorite – she is perfectionist, which means that every bride’s expectations are met when sitting in Tara’s makeup chair. She also enjoys the challenge of balancing the bride’s everyday look with timeless glamour and grace.
As an esthetician, Tara is motivated not only by exceeding her client’s expectations, but also by teaching clients something new during their time together – be it skincare, makeup application technique, or ways to enhance their inner beauty.
Tara, when not at work, loves to shop for makeup (naturally) and stay up to date on the latest in the skincare and spa industries. She is also passionate about cooking, faith fellowship, and spending time with her young daughter.
